Assurer la diffusion en temps voulu d’informations climatologiques fiables, non seulement aux décideurs mais également
aux populations vulnérables qui se retrouvent en première ligne face aux risques climatiques, voilà le nouveau défi lié au
changement climatique. L’Organisation météorologique mondiale en fait l’une de ses grandes priorités et lance l’instauration
du Cadre mondial pour les services climatologiques.
Le développement durable se heurte à de nombreux obstacles, qu’il n’est possible de surmonter qu’en agissant au
niveau local. C’est ce que propose le R20, ONG lancée en 2011 par le Gouverneur Arnold Schwarzenegger, en développant
un réseau de régions du monde, de partenaires publics et privés (entreprises, académies, organisations internationales,

Comment Whereas Mr Michel Jarraud made an excellent presentation on climate change, Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Forum member exalted in Business As Usual of "Sustainable Development", with the special effect of the EU commisssioner Connie Hedegaard speaking of "Sustainable Growth" - uncontested by the honorable forum members.
